Our lawyers

The people who'll sit across the table

Three lawyers who each know every family's file. If yours isn't in, the other two can help.

  • Marguerite Regier in a white blouse, seated with her arms folded against a grey backdrop

    Marguerite Regier

Founding partner · wills, trusts and probate

Marguerite writes most of the firm's wills and trusts, and she still reads every plan aloud before it's signed.

  • Levi Achterberg, smiling, in a plaid overshirt at his desk

    Levi Achterberg

Partner · elder law and Medicaid planning

Levi handles powers of attorney, guardianship and nursing-home planning, and he makes most of the care-home visits.

  • Delia Unruh in glasses and a dark knit sweater

    Delia Unruh

Associate · probate and estate settlement

Delia walks executors through probate from the first court filing to the last check, usually by phone and email.

Why Wichita

Most of what our clients pass on is a house, or some land

Marguerite and Levi both grew up in small towns north of Wichita, among families who had worked the same ground for generations.

That shapes how we work. We ask about the land, the house and the people before the accounts. We'll drive out to a farmhouse or a care home when that's easier for you, and we write in words your family can read without us.
